Concept Proposal:

Bang Bang Club is an action thriller romance TV series set in the midst of a financial crisis involving a corrupt banking system, assassins and a deadly love triangle. A slick, tightly woven narrative with action sequences, flashbacks, flashforwards and a compelling romantic throughline. This is Wall Street meets Bourne Identity. Well trained assassins lurking underneath the world of a slick, sophisticated but corrupt financial system. Tailored suits, polished shoes and sniper style assassinations.

Synopsis:

Banks control the world beyond our imaginations. When one bank strips away the livelihood of two young men they take revenge by joining an elite assassins training group: The Bang Bang Club. Only problem is the club has links all the way to the highest financial powers of the world, and has other plans for them: covert murders and their own demise. An affair that blossoms with one of the elite female assassins of the club may be the only thing that will ultimately save the the two men BUT they’ve both fallen for the same girl. Framed for murder the two men are pitted against the law, an elite assassins group and eventually each other as they try to uncover deadly secrets at the highest level of the financial system in order to save their lives.

Synopsis

Since high school, Stan and Jenny have had crushes on each other. They wrote letters to one another over school holidays but in person, they barely spoke; sharing only the occasional lingering glance and smile. Over the years they fantasized about how perfect they would be as lovers. Now, 10 years later they bump into each other and have the chance to make it a reality but it’s not that simple; self doubt, fear of rejection, of losing their fantasies will hold them back from what could be the perfect union.

What Do Men Want?

What Do Men Want? was originally commissioned by the OTT platform Toggle.sg – prior to production the commissioning editors asked for it to be converted into a 13 x half hour TV series and it was later picked up by the National broadcaster of Singapore for free-to-air TV. It aired on MediaCorp Channel 5 in Oct 2014.

Synopsis:

What Do Men Want? is a 13 episodic drama revolving around two passionate actors searching for truth, love and happiness but usually finding lies, rejection and disillusionment. Jimmy and Bob, are 2 struggling actors, best friends and flatmates. Whilst trying to “make it” in the acting industry they also desperately want to find love, however, they often look in the wrong places. They become players, date the wrong women for the wrong reasons, try to sleep their way to the top, lie and cheat to get what they want: fame, fortune, sex. Truth is, all they really need is love and satisfaction and it’s right in front of them: their gorgeous best (girl) friend, their own friendship, their passion for the arts. Each episode focuses on their tortuous and entertaining path to finding these truths.

This series won Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series at the LA Web Series Festival 2014.
